Suumit Shah, chief executive officer (CEO) of Dukaan, said in a statement that “SMBs (small and medium-size business owners) and ecommerce brands are starting to struggle with high costs for acquiring customers on platforms like Facebook and Google Ads, whereas the creator economy is starting to emerge as a new frontier for generating the demand cost-effectively.”
According to an estimate by management consulting company RedSeer Consulting, brief video apps like Moj and Josh could generate up to $19 billion in revenue by 2030.
According to the report, only 1% of all digital advertising expenditures are currently allocated to short-form video apps.
But according to the consulting group, by 2030, short video apps can take 10–20% of the total digital advertising market, or close to $6 billion.
